Ethan
Ethan is the Curiosity Crew’s resident jokester — the kid who can make a whole room laugh without trying. He’s cheerful, bursting with energy, and fiercely loyal to his friends. If someone’s having a bad day, Ethan is the first one to show up with a goofy grin and a plan to fix it.
He always has his trusty yoyo in his pocket. He practices new tricks every day, even though his mom keeps banning yoyo practice inside the house because something always gets knocked over. Ethan doesn’t argue with her about it… mostly because she’s right. Still, he loves performing his newest moves for his classmates, showing off spins, loops, and tricks he learned by watching videos and studying how the yoyo moves.

Ethan is obsessed with drawing, too. His sketchbook is full of rockets, superheroes, and strange machines inspired by Leonardo da Vinci — the person who first made him fall in love with how things work. When Ethan learned that da Vinci designed a flying machine in the 1480s, long before airplanes existed, it blew his mind. He decided that if da Vinci could imagine impossible things, then maybe Ethan could, too. That’s why he thinks yoyo tricks are so cool: they’re all little physics experiments you can hold in your hand.

Ethan's drawing of Lulu
Outside of class, Ethan is nonstop motion. He loves basketball, especially weekend games with his best friend Alex. And when summer hits, you basically have to fish him out of the pool because he never leaves it. At home, he has an older brother and sister — and a golden retriever named Lulu who’s just as hyper as he is. Every afternoon, Ethan and Lulu race around the yard until they’re both tired and laughing… or barking.
Ethan’s jokes are legendary, but he’s careful. He never wants to hurt anyone’s feelings. His pranks are the silly kind — buzzers, fake fart cushions, and harmless surprises. The biggest trouble he ever caused was when he secretly glued Ms. Wonderly’s apple to her desk. When she tried to pick it up, the apple didn’t budge, and Ethan definitely did not stop laughing for a full minute.
He doesn’t know what he wants to be when he grows up, but he’s sure about one thing: art is his favorite subject, and he wants to keep creating things — whether that’s drawings, tricks, or ideas no one has thought of yet. And even though there’s no Olympics for yoyo (yet), Ethan is convinced there should be… and he hopes he’ll be the first to win a gold medal.
